Fatal Accident Involving Tractor Trailer Shuts Down I-485 Lanes
A fatal accident on the outer loop of I-485 shut down traffic between I-77 and W.T. Harris Boulevard, fire officials said.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — A section of Interstate 485 in north Charlotte closed down following a serious accident involving a tractor trailer truck crash with fire Friday morning, according to the Huntersville Fire Department.
I-485 Outer lanes between Interstate 77 and West W.T. Harris Boulevard is closed, HFD tweeted. “Law enforcement is on scene investigating,” it said.
HFD said it was on the scene along with Charlotte Fire Department and North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
