FBI Joins Search For Wanted Wig Wearing Bank Robbery Suspect
The FBI has joined the search for a man who robbed a Huntersville bank while wearing a wig and released video of the heist.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — The Federal Bureau of Investigation has joined Huntersville Police Department in the search for a man who robbed a Huntersville bank while wearing a blonde wig last month.
The heist at the BB&T Bank branch at 16710 Northcross Drive in Huntersville occurred around 5 p.m. Dec. 13 . "The suspect is described as a black male wearing a blonde wig, multi-colored shirt, and high heels," HPD said.
The FBI released security camera footage of the incident, which showed the suspect walking into the busy bank branch, wearing jeans, a long sleeved shirt with rainbow stripes across the chest, gloves and a cross-body bag. The suspect approached a teller behind a counter and handed her a note.

The suspect did not use a weapon during the heist and no injuries were reported, HPD said at the time.
