Freezing Rain, Temperature Drop: This Week In Huntersville

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — It’s time to get out the winter coats. The week ahead will grow frigid and wet, according to the National Weather Service, which says Huntersville could see freezing rain by Friday morning.

The work week starts off with mild temperatures, with highs in the mid 50s on Monday, soaring to nearly 70 degrees Tueday. The mercury will plunge by Wednesday, however, when the daily high isn’t expected to climb out of the 40s.

Rain is expected nearly every day this week, NWS said.

A chance of showers before 3pm, then a slight chance of rain after 3pm. Cloudy, with a high near 53. South southwest wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

A 20 percent chance of rain after 11pm. Patchy fog between 9pm and 1am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a temperature rising to around 60 by 4am. South southwest wind 7 to 10 mph.
