Hambright Widening Project to Start Monday, August 12th

Crews are set to begin widening Hambright Road next week. Work will begin Monday, August 12th Hambright Road is slated to be widened to the immediate east of Lake Norman Charter Elementary School and connected with Patterson Road.

The project should be completed in 6 to 8 weeks, weather permitting. Knowing that the start of school is around the corner, it is our intent to construct as much of the project as possible without the use of lane closures. Huntersville Public Works will work with NCDOT and the contractor in an effort to minimize lane closures and overall traffic impacts during periods when parents and staff would be commuting to school.

We will provide project-related updates as needed through our social media accounts and direct outreach to Lake Norman Charter Elementary School.
