Huntersville Laptop Distribution Event Set For Wednesday: Details
E2D, a Davidson-based nonprofit, will be distributing laptops to CMS students in need Wednesday at Hopewell High School.
HUNTERSVILLE, NC — A Lake Norman non-profit aimed at bridging the divide for area students with an economic need for affordable access to technology will be distributing several hundred laptops Wednesday.
E2D is holding the Feb. 12 event at Hopewell High School, located at 11530 Beatties Ford Road in Huntersville, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.
According to the organization, the event is open to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools students with a valid student identification card. The participation fee is $75, which may be paid by cash, credit of money order.

That fee includes:
- A fully refurbished laptop with new software compatible with Windows OS
- 6 months of tech support
- Basic digital literacy training
The laptop distributions are on a first-come, first-served basis, E2D spokesperson Jenny Myers told Patch.
