Huntersville New Year's Events: 2020 Guide

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Love it or hate it, New Year's Eve is happening again this year. Whether you plan to ring in 2020 at your favorite restaurant, a buzzing party with your friends, or all cozied up in front of the TV, we've got you covered.

So pop the bubbly, come up with some resolutions you can actually stick to and get ready to celebrate the New Year. If you want to go out in Huntersville…

• New Year’s at Noon — Discovery Place Kids, 105 Gilead Road, Huntersville. Say organizers: “On December 31, we’ll ring in the New Year at noon for kiddos who want to celebrate (and for their parents who want them in bed on time). Guests can enjoy festive activities and crafts, followed by a giant balloon drop.”
• NYE 2020 — Corkscrew Birkdale, 16916 Birkdale Commons Parkway, Huntersville. Say organizers, “Let's Ring in the New Year 20's style! Prohibition style decor, drinks, Live Music provided by Poplar Tent Revival, Balloon Drop at Midnight, and of course no cover charge to Come Party with us!”
• New Year’s Eve Party at Kilted Buffalo Birkdale — 8625 Townley Road, Huntersville. Say organizers, “Come celebrate with all your friends and neighbors with no cover and a free champagne toast at midnight. We will be having a balloon drop where you can win some dope prizes!”

• New Year’s Eve Balloon Drop — The Davidson Playhouse, 228-A Caldwell Lane, Davidson. Say organizers: “Join us to celebrate and ring in the new year with your toddlers!! We will have a balloon drop at 12pm! Cost is only $5/child (parents free). Playhouse is open for open play from 10 a.m. -1 p.m.”
• New Year’s Eve Countdown with Davidson Wine Co. — 121 Depot Street, Davidson. Say organizers, “Looking for a place to ring in 2020? Look no further than Davidson Wine Co. We will be hosting our first ever New Year's Eve soiree. Experience wine tasting, charcuterie and dessert buffet, and a wall of champagne! Live music will also be provided by the soulful sounds of Justin Mintun. Come dressed as you like and be ready to count down the last moments of the decade! Wine flight, buffet, and champagne included in ticket price. Additional beer and wine cash bar will be available.”
• New Year’s Eve Black & White Affair at Jack's Corner Tap — 8301 Magnolia Estates Drive, Cornelius. Say organizers: “Bring in 2020 in style with Unknown Artist Band LIVE at Jack's Corner Tap! Spend the whole evening with us or stop in for a nightcap. Going strong until 2AM, this promises to be the show of the year! Join us at Jack's Corner Tap on NYE as we ring in a new decade! Please wear white! The Unknown Artist Band will be playing from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Drink specials include $6 Crown, Grey Goose, Jack and Tito's! Free Appetizer bar after midnight!”
• Roaring New Year’s Eve Bash — Old Town Public House, 21314 Catawba Avenue, Cornelius. Say organizers: “We're Roaring in the 20's with alt-rock house favorites Red Dress Amy on Tues, Dec 31! • New Year’s Eve With Harp & Crown — 19930 W. Catawba Avenue, Cornelius. Say organizers: “Join us on NYE for a special three-course meal (Lunch 12-3 & Dinner 3-11). We'll be toasting to a New Year with England and Ireland at 7 p.m. and of course the US at midnight! Walk-ins welcome but, we highly recommend reservations.”

• Christmas Wonderland of Lights — Zootastic Park, Troutman, NC. Where to catch it: ABC, begins at 8 p.m.
Why you should watch: This year marks the 48th year of the annual holiday New Year's Eve staple that packs partygoers shoulder-to-shoulder in New York City's Times Square with performers including Post Malone, BTS, Sam Hunt and Alanis Morissette.
