Huntersville Recycling Facility Fire Prompts Road Closure
A fire at the North Mecklenburg Recycling Center in Huntersville Wednesday morning prompted a road closure, fire officials said.
HUNTERSVILLE, NC — A fire at a Huntersville recycling facility Wednesday morning prompted a road closure and a warning for drivers from fire officials.
The fire occurred at the North Mecklenburg Recycling Center located at 12300 Statesville Road.
"We have closed Statesville Road between Hambright Road and Verhoeff Drive as we work a large fire at the North Mecklenburg Recycling Center," Huntersville Fire said on social media. "Avoid the area. Use caution & YIELD to responding units."
