Huntersville Steering Committee Volunteers Needed; Apps Available

From the Town of Huntersville: The Huntersville 2030 Community Plan directly informs decisions that we make as a community. It assists us with monitoring preservation, identifying potential concerns, establishing plans to offset those issues, and establishing recommendations to successfully grow and shape our future community. Our last comprehensive plan was completed in 2011 and is in need of an update.

The objective of the Steering Committee will be to review the progress and content of the Community Plan update, and to encourage community participation. The Steering Committee will consist of 11-15 members, representing a cross section of the Huntersville community, and will be appointed by the Town Board. The Steering Committee will serve as an advisory board to the Town of Huntersville Planning Board and Board of Commissioners for approximately 1 year (August 2019-August 2020) and be required to attend 6-8 meetings.

We invite you to complete an application to be considered for the Steering Committee and thank you for your willingness to serve your community. The application deadline is August 1, 2019. Applicants will be notified of the Town Board determination.
