Inizio Pizza Napoletana To Open In Huntersville

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Neapolitan pizza is coming to Huntersville. Charlotte-based Inizio Pizza Napoletana is set to open its new Huntersville location to the public the week of Feb. 15.

The restaurant is located at 16627 Birkdale Commons Parkway on the corner of Sam Furr Road. "The center will also be home to other anticipated restaurants like Shake Shack and Firebirds," the company said.

The menu of nearly 3,000-square-foot eatery will focus on delivering a culinary experience that takes diners' taste buds to Naples, Italy.

"True Neapolitan pizza is baked around 900 degrees, in a wood fired oven (no gas) for 90 seconds or less. The pizza should be soft and elastic with a fragrant crust. The simple sauce, made from imported Italian tomatoes grown in the fertile soil of Mount Vesuvius, retain a sweet, bright, and vibrant flavor," the restaurant said in a statement.

The restaurant will have two wood-fired ovens imported from Italy.
