New School Zone In Effect In Huntersville: Hours, Fine
There's a new school zone in place in Huntersville, police said. Here's what you need to know about the new speed limit and fines.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — A stretch of Beatties Ford Road is now a school zone, according to Huntersville Police Department.
The new speed limit is 35 mph in the new zone that stretches from Bud Henderson Road to Carrington Pointe Drive near Frances Bradley Middle School and Barnette Elementary School.
The speed limit is in effect from 7: 30 a.m. until 9:15 a.m., and again from 3 p.m. until 4:45 p.m.

“Violators could face [a] fine of $250 plus court costs,” HPD said.
