No Major Damage In Overnight Fire At Huntersville SECU
The Huntersville Fire Department credits the lack of significant damage to a quick response by firefighters.
HUNTERSVILLE, NC — A State Employees Credit Union in Huntersville was left with minor damage after an overnight fire, officials said.
According to a series of Tweets from Huntersville Fire Department, the fire was reported after 11 p.m. in the 10410 block of Arahova Drive.
A short time later, a working fire was declared, and a call for assistance was put out to Cornelius Fire and Mecklenburg EMS. Minutes later, in another Tweet, the department said the fire was under control and the call to Cornelius and Mecklenburg had been canceled.

Early Wednesday, the department said the credit union building had only minimal smoke and fire damage thanks to a quick response and an aggressive attack on the blaze.
