Reader-Nominated Businesses Of The Year: Huntersville's Best

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — It's been a tough year for Huntersville businesses, as well as others around the state and country. The coronavirus pandemic presented enormous challenges for most, from the stay-home orders in the spring to restrictions and other hurdles from fall into winter.

To recognize all their efforts, Patch asked readers to nominate Local Businesses of the Year, whether it was the restaurant that made special accommodations for takeout, the shop that opened early, the pizzeria that went out of its way to deliver, the hardware store owner that offered invaluable advice or something else.

These nominations are not an official award, but simply recognition of a job well done.

Here are some of the nominations Patch has received in Huntersville, and the reason why they should be honored:

• Frame Warehouse: They really care about the quality of their work. I've had several things framed by them and am always pleased about the care they take in making my art shine.
• Harman Law: Been working at Harman Law for a few months, it's been absolutely amazing! Great staff, working with clients is great, and the job itself is rewarding.
• Foster's Frame and Art Gallery: 20 years in business in Huntersville. Very high reviews on Google and FB. Very engaged with various nonprofit in the Lake Norman region. Have served on boards of the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce and Huntersville Regional Chamber of Commerce. Currently serving on Huntersville Public Arts Commission. Carry original art by local and regional artists.
• Lake Norman Lawn Services:
  
  • Because they always take extra great care when it come to the standards for coronavirus; by wearing their mask during all hours at your property, and they use online invoices and estimates! They also take amazingly great pride in their work, by completely it neatly and quickly!
  • Excellent local customer service. One of a few businesses left that actually checked in with me after servicing my property to get my feedback and make sure I was completely satisfied-which I always am! I’m just blown away by that! Owner comes and actually stays on site for entire work order from start to finish!
  • Prompt customer service and a real eye to detail. Plus, they do a lot for the community being here since early 2000’s. They’ve helped locals in need and are always giving back. We love to support local and family owned businesses that are very deserving-this is definitely one of them!
  • Absolutely wonderful customer service! Very prompt and professional. Love that they are a well established and trusted family owned local business. Have witnessed them remove a tree from my elderly neighbors yard after a particularly bad storm last spring and haul it away, free of charge! Took them several hours so you know they were doing it from their hearts and not pockets. Overall great little gem of a business!
