Shots Fired At Police Investigating Early Morning Vehicle Crash
Huntersville police are asking residents near Beatties Ford and Sample Road to check security cameras for footage related to the shooting.
HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Police in Huntersville are asking for the community's help after officers responding to a predawn vehicle crash were shot at along Beatties Ford Road Tuesday morning.
According to a Huntersville Police Department statement, officers were investigating the crash in the 10100 block of Beatties Ford Road shortly before 4 a.m.
"During the investigation into the traffic crash, an unknown suspect(s) fired a weapon multiple times in the direction of officers and other civilians on scene," HPD said.

Police are asking residents in the Beatties Ford/Sample Road area to check any outdoor security cameras for any possible footage that may be related to this incident.
HPD said anyone with information about the incident is also asked to call North Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers at 704-896-7867.
