Six Huntersville Businesses Targeted In Burglary Spree
A breaking and entering spree in Huntersville ended in a single car crash and two suspects asking for rides to Charlotte.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC -- An early morning single car crash has been linked to a breaking and entering spree targeting six Gilead Road-area businesses, Huntersville Police said Monday. The crimes are similar to others reported recently in Charlotte, as well as York County, S.C. and Fort Mill, S.C., HPD said.
According to HPD, Subway, Little Caesar’s, Small Cakes, Papa Murphy’s, Pinky’s and NY Bagel were all victims of the early morning burglaries and felony larceny cases Nov. 27. Officers responding to the early morning burglaries spotted a car speeding away from the area but were unable to catch it.
“A short time later, officers responded to the area of Beatties Ford Road and Carrington Pointe Drive for a single vehicle collision,” HPD said in a statement. At the accident scene, police found evidence in the car linking it to the burglaries. “Upon arrival, a witness advised all of the subjects inside the vehicle had run from the scene.”

A short time later, police received two 911 calls from residents in the Tanners Creek subdivision off Beatties Ford Road saying that two unknown males were knocking on doors asking for rides into Charlotte, HPD said.
Officers have detained and identified the two men and criminal charges are pending, HPD said.
