Stolen Gun, Trove Of Drugs Seized In Huntersville Sting

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — An undercover drug operation in Huntersville led to two arrests and the confiscation of a trove of drugs, cash and guns, one of which was stolen, Huntersville Police Department announced Friday.

Stacy Demetrius Derico, 18, and Jacob Ethan Thomasson, 18, were arrested April 27 by narcotics investigators, HPD said.

Among the items seized were three firearms, including one that had been reported stolen; narcotics including mushrooms, LSD and THC; along with cash.

Derico was charged with a concealed carry weapon violation; conspire to sell/deliver Schedule 1 narcotics; and possession of a stolen firearm.

Thomasson was charged with conspire to sell/deliver Schedule 1 narcotics; maintain a vehicle/dwelling; and concealed carry weapon violation.
