Tractor Trailer Strikes I-77 Wall, Spills Fuel In Cornelius
A tractor trailer struck a jersey barrier Wednesday afternoon, causing it to spill fuel onto Interstate 77.

CORNELIUS, NC — Traffic along northbound Interstate 77 was snarled Wednesday after a tractor trailer hit a jersey wall and began spilling fuel, according to the Huntersville Fire Department.
The midday accident blocked the left northbound lane near the Westmoreland Road bridge, before Exit 28 at Catawba Avenue.
*I77 Update* This MVA is blocking the left lane, a tractor trailer has struck a jersey wall, causing a significant diesel fuel leak from the saddle tanks, requesting @I77Express to the scene. Our E-1 is working on the leak now. Use caution in area, #MoveOver #CLTtraffic
