Traffic Light Outage Reported On Old Statesville Road: HPD

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Huntersville drivers should drive with caution on Old Statesville Road due to traffic signal outages, police said Friday.

“There are multiple traffic lights out on Old Statesville Road,” Huntersville Police Department said Friday morning. “There are [officers] at some locations, but not all. Use caution when approaching intersections with lights out!”

Here’s what drivers should do when approaching a signal that’s not working properly, police said:

• If it’s flashing red, treat it as a stop sign.
• If it’s flashing yellow, proceed with caution
• If there are no traffic lights, treat it as a 4-way stop
