Fargo’s Board Of Health Accepting Applications

The City of Fargo is currently accepting applications for a position on its Board of Health. Interested residents are encouraged to apply for appointment by visiting FargoND.gov/GettingInvolved. Applications will be reviewed through December 31, and applying before that date is encouraged and appreciated. Applicants should be medical providers in order to be considered for the opening.

Name of Board: Board of Health
Opening: One (1) Board Member
Meeting Logistics: Third Friday of every other month at noon
Average Time Commitment: Three (3) hours per month
Responsibilities:
• Serve as an advocate for public health and assist the department in maintaining a positive public image
• Recommend policies and procedures while also reviewing/approving the annual budget and financial reports
• Solicit and discuss community issues and potential solutions to staff

In addition to this opening, residents are encouraged to research and apply for appointment to any of the boards, commissions and committees for consideration of future vacancies.
