“We’re always looking for ways to divert recyclable items from the landfill. This program allows elements in the lights to be recycled and not end up in the landfill,” said The City of Fargo’s Recycling Coordinator Jennifer Pickett.
Residents can drop string lights, including new-style LED lights as well as older styles, at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility at 606 43 ½ St. N., between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, now through January 31, 2020. Rope-style lights will not be accepted for recycling.
