In accordance with CDC guidance for schools, DPS will continue its COVID-19 prevention strategies for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year. The school year ends on June 29th.

This means students and staff will continue to wear masks and practice social distancing as they finish out the year.

In addition, schools will continue to use water bottle filling stations instead of water fountains, plexiglass barriers where appropriate, and frequent cleaning of high-touch surfaces.

With these strategies in place, students and staff have successfully completed three months of in-person learning. By keeping them in place through June, the district is confident students and staff will successfully finish out the school year.

Please refer to the specific situations referenced below for more information about these requirements and how long they will be in place.
