Moving Vietnam Wall

Find out what's happening in Mariettafor free with the latest updates from Patch.

Not everyone has the money or the time to travel to Washington, DC to visit the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, to see the names of the 58,281 Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice in the conflict. For the first time in 17 years, the Moving Wall – an exact half-size replica of the actual memorial – is in Monroe County. The Moving Wall will be at the county fairgrounds in Woodsfield through Sunday. Thank you to those who generously went above and beyond to bring it here. Because of your efforts, many more people will be able to come out and pay their respects for our fallen heroes.

Is a Cyber-Geddon Coming?

Find out what's happening in Mariettafor free with the latest updates from Patch.

Cyberattacks shut down our fuel pipeline, then attacked the food supply. What’s next? Transportation? Other energy sectors? Hospitals and pharmacies? It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that a “cyber-geddon” could be cataclysmic. Virtually everything in America would grind to a halt in a matter of minutes. Cardinal Plant: An Energy Visit

Did your lights come on when you switched them on this morning? Did your toaster or microwave work? Then the electricity in your home must have been on…and, the electricity you used may have been generated by the Cardinal Plant in Brilliant, Ohio along the Ohio River, which I visited on Thursday. The Cardinal Plant occupies a unique place in the history of electric power generation. It represents the first-ever alliance of an investor-owned electric utility — American Electric Power (AEP) — and a member-owned electric utility — Buckeye Power, the power generation arm of Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives, Inc. — to operate a power plant serving different sectors of consumers. Buckeye Power is comprised of 25 rural electric cooperatives and serves nearly 40% of the state’s land area…380,000 homes, businesses, and farms. Some people don’t want to hear this, but it’s vital that we have affordable and reliable baseload electricity…and coal-fired power generation is a vital source of baseload electricity for our national energy grid.

Dr. Fauci Emails Reveal Big Tech Hypocrisy

Not too long ago, users were banned or de-platformed from social media for even suggesting that COVID may have originated from a Chinese lab. It was mocked as a “conspiracy theory.” With all of the internal emails from Dr. Fauci and other news now coming to light, the American people deserve to know if people within the U.S. government went out of their way to stop investigation(s) into the origins of COVID – and why the bureaucracy seemed so intent on protecting China?
