Protect your plants tonight, it's going to be a cold one.
MARIETTA, OH — The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for the Mid-Ohio Valley. It goes into effect at 9 p.m tonight. This will be a deeper freeze than we had last night. Weather officials warn that the freezing conditions will kill crops and sensitive vegetation. There also remains the possibility of damage to unprotected outdoor plumbing.

There are ways for you to protect your garden. If you can, bring your plants inside. If you can't, you can shelter them in a plastic container. An upside-down bucket will do in a pinch. It's expected to drop as low as low as 17-degrees. So take whatever precautions are necessary to protect your plants and your pipes.
