The circumstances around Applejack’s disappearance are a complete mystery, the family doesn’t know what to think. Byrd says the family followed the little horse’s hoof tracks to outside the fence where they just stopped. She says they thought maybe someone took him to sell, but she can’t be sure of this.

The seven-year-old miniature horse had been on a Rocky Point Road farm with other horses. No other horses went missing. Family and friends searched all over, they scoured the land riding four-wheelers, and horses, they even flew a drone, but no sign of Applejack. They are still offering a reward for the horse's safe return, no questions asked.

Nicole Byrd put up fliers and signs all over the place. She’s not giving up on Applejack. She still routinely reposts the missing horse alert on Facebook. She says the family obviously wants him back, but if he’s passed away she understands. “I just wish we knew.”
