Obituary: Karen Lynn Knight Warne

Karen Lynn Knight Warne, 72, of Marietta passed away at 2:03am, Tuesday, June 08, 2021, at Marietta Memorial Hospital

She was born June 12, 1948, in Marietta a daughter of Denver “Jack” Knight and Alberta “Maxine” Neville Mackey. Karen was a graduate of Marietta High School, Class of 1966.

On July 9, 1966, she married the love of her life, Gary E. “Bud” Warne, who preceded her in death. Karen is survived by sons, Gary Warne of Cooville, Mark (Janie) Warne of Vincent, sister Debbie (Fred) Hupp of Marietta, brother Steve (Becky) Knight of Marietta, sisters: Patty (Larry) Offenberger, Pamela (Mark) Lange, Tammy (Mark) Wynn, Kimberly (Michael) Guckert, sisters-in-law, Diane and Marcie, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband, grandparents, several aunts and uncles preceded her in death.

Per Karen’s wishes, cremation will be observed with a memorial service at a later date. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family and messages of sympathy may be sent at: condolences@Lankfordfh.com.

Memorial donations would be appreciated to The Humane Society of Ohio Valley, 90 Mount Tom Road, Marietta, OH 45750 as she and Bud had a heart for kittens and cats and in the past year became a dog lover also.
