Marietta fun fact of the day:
One historian said that Marietta's Jewish community lifted the town out of the bland homogeneity of a Gopher Prairie. It wasn't uncommon for Jewish congregations to rent out local facilities for out-of-town visitors to come and observe the high holidays. Gentiles in town appear to have respected the many accomplishments of members of Marietta's Jewish community.

And our newest sponsor, Peoples Bank. Bank where the peoples do, Peoples Bank.
A little about me, I'm Chris Schmitt; I grew up in Marietta, went to Marietta High School, and graduated from Ohio University's Scripps School of Journalism. I worked at a number of newspapers before becoming a national correspondent for IHeartRadio in New York. A couple of years ago I made the decision to move back to Marietta and be closer to family.
