The city council will hold a zoom meeting pertaining to the city's natural gas supplier.

MARIETTA, OH — The Marietta City Council is holding a special public meeting this evening at 4:00. This appears to be mainly about extending the natural gas program within the city limits of Marietta. Since this is a public meeting, everyone is invited to attend, it will be online only and it can be accessed through the Marietta City Facebook page.

The Marietta City Council welcomes you here and thanks you for your time and concerns. Should you wish to address the council, this is the time set on the agenda for you to do so. When you are recognized, please step to the podium and state your name and address prior to addressing council. Your comments will be limited to three minutes. The council may not respond to your comments this evening, rather they may take your comments and suggestions under advisement and your questions may be directed to the appropriate staff person for follow-up. In the event of a violation of decorum, the council president will give one warning. Should a violation continue, the council president may revoke the speaking privileges, and the speaker may be subject to removal from the council chambers by the sergeant-at-arms.

- Ordinance No. 231 (20-21) An Ordinance to authorize and direct the Director of Public Safety and Service to enter into an agreement or agreements on behalf of the City of Marietta, Ohio, with Energy Harbor, LLC for generation, supply, and transmission service agreements with opt-out provisions pursuant to law, for the City of Marietta, Ohio’s electric aggregation program, and declaring an EMERGENCY.
- Ordinance No. 232 (20-21) An Ordinance to authorize and direct the Director of Public Safety and Service to enter into an agreement or agreements on behalf of the City of Marietta, Ohio, with Constellation New Energy Gas Division, LLC for the City of Marietta, Ohio’s natural gas aggregation program with opt-out provisions pursuant to law, and declaring an EMERGENCY.
