On 052521 at 0928HRS, P64 was dispatched to the Marietta P.D. in reference to a theft of a tablet at the Quality Inn parking lot. The victim advised his tablet for work had been taken during the night. This case remains under investigation.

On 052421 at 1121HRS, P64 and P73 were dispatched to a domestic incident near the 800 block of Wayne Street. Upon arrival, officers were unable to locate the vehicle described by individuals who had called in the incident. On 05/25/21 the victim from the domestic arrived at the Marietta P.D. It was found through investigation that the victim's ex-boyfriend had knowingly attempted to cause physical harm to the victim. The suspect was identified and a warrant was requested for his arrest on a domestic violence charge.

On 052621 P23 investigated the report of a hang-up 911 call near 111 North Hart Street. It was learned that a juvenile female had been injured when hit in the head by a coffee cup thrown by an adult by an adult at another person.

On 052621 at around 1945 HRS., P67 responded to Walmart in reference to a man and woman stealing numerous items, when approached by store employees, they forced their way from the store and fled.

On 05/27/2021 at 1417HRS P75 was dispatched to 301 Greene Street in reference to a shoplifting. Two printer ink cartridges. The suspect has been identified.

On May 27 2021 at 1623HRS, P66 was dispatched to 219 Harmar Street in reference to a welfare check on a resident. Upon arrival, after investigation, it was found that the woman had fallen asleep and forgot to pick up her child from Harmar School. Child Protective Services will be contacted for a referral.

On May 29, 2021 P50 responded to Walmart in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, P50 spoke to the loss prevention agent, who advised that he witnessed a man who has been identified not scanning items in the self-checkout.

On 052921, P65 was dispatched to Walmart, 804 Pike Street, Marietta, Ohio in reference to a shoplifting complaint. Upon arrival and after the investigation it was learned that a female had failed to scan 12 items totaling $45 in value and was stopped by APA. The female will be summoned on a charge of theft. Prescription pills were found on her and will be sent for testing.

On May 29, 2021 at 20:10 P52 was dispatched to do a welfare check on a male subject in a blue Nissan in front of Gnc Store. P52 found a man slumped over in the driver's seat. P52 used his K-9 to sniff for illegal narcotics in the vehicle. The K-9 indicated on the driver's door. P52 found a used syringe beside the driver's seat which the man stated he had used to inject methamphetamine into his body. He was transported to the hospital for treatment and charges are pending.

On 05/29/21 P65 was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting complaint. After investigation, a male was identified and detained after stealing two items worth $23. The male will be summonsed on a charge of theft.

On 053021, P65 was dispatched to 112 Knox Street in reference to a possible overdose. Upon arrival a female was located on the floor and MFD was administering numerous doses of Narcan. The female eventually came to and was transported to the hospital. A search of her bag revealed suspected methamphetamine, numerous dirty needles, tourniquets, a burnt spoon, and a loaded syringe. The items were taken and will be sent for testing. The female will face charges at a later date.

P74 AND P65 responded to 804 Phillips Street with MFD in reference to an unresponsive 58-year-old male. The male was pronounced dead upon arrival of what appeared to be natural causes.

On May 30, 2021 S 18 conducted a welfare check of a 1-year-old child. It was determined that the child was healthy and safe. The child was allowed to stay with the father under the determination of the jurisdiction of the child's birth and current residence (West Virginia).

On 053020 at 16:53 P73 responded to 229 East Fay in reference to a 61-year-old man found dead in a neighbor's backyard. This case remains under investigation, but no overt signs of foul play were found.

On 053121 P23 investigated the report of a shoplifter at Walmart not scanning all items totaling $45. The suspect is to be summonsed.
