6/1/21 5:00 pm WALMART

21 006447 804 PIKE MARIETTA, OH

On June 1, 2021 at 1700HRS P66 was dispatched to 804 Pike St in reference to a shoplifter. Upon arrival, it was learned that a female had not rung up some items through self-checkout. She passed the last point of sale and was stopped by loss prevention. As a result, the woman will be receiving a summons for theft.

21 006505 804 PIKE MARIETTA, OH

On June 2, 2021 P52 was dispatched to Walmart in reference to two female shoplifters, while in route P52 was advised that one female fled the store wearing a grey shirt and carrying a backpack. P52 located the female hiding in the bathroom at the Starbucks store. She was identified as Sandra Parlin. The second female was identified and was advised she would receive a summons for theft. Parlin was arrested and charged with theft, obstructing, and drug paraphernalia, and was transported to jail.

On June 3, 2021 P50 responded to Strawberry Fields, 414 Greene Street in reference to found medication. Upon arrival, P50 spoke to the manager, who advised that two females were sitting in one of their chairs and when they got up they left behind a baggie of narcotics.

On 06/03/2021, P74 AND S18 responded to 630 Pearl Street Extension in reference to a 30 year old female overdosing on suspected narcotics. It was learned she had been administered two doses of narcan and was semiconscious upon our arrival. MFD transported the female to MMH and she is expected to recover.

On 06/03/21, P65 was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival and after the investigation it was learned that a female had been stopped and confessed to shoplifting after failing to scan $233 in merchandise. The female will be summonsed on a charge of theft.

Shawn Mentzer was cited for DC intox after passing out in the men's restroom in Speedway at 100 N 7th Street. Mentzer was released to a sober party.

On June 4TH, 2021, P72 responded to 111 N Hart Street in reference to a fight. The two females involved in the altercation, Amy Smithberger and Georgette Thrasher were issued minor misdemeanor doc fighting citations.

On June 4TH, 2021 AT 1455HRS, P23 was dispatched to 804 Pike Street in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, it was found that a woman had not scanned multiple items worth $110 and passed the last point of sale. As a result, she will be issued a summons for theft.

On June 4TH, 2021 AT 1747HRS, P23 was dispatched to 804 Pike Street for a theft. Upon arrival, s15 and P63 apprehended Kevin Andrew Williams in the parking lot of Walmart. It was found that he had taken a camera and passed the last point of sale. Kevin also had an active felony warrant through Monroe County. As a result, Kevin Andrew Williams was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with theft, criminal trespass, and a felony warrant.

21 006631 840 PIKE 39 MARIETTA,OH

ON 06/04/21 units responded to 840 Pike Street along with Marietta Fire reference to a structure fire. Marietta Fire extinguished the fire. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.

At 0023 ON 060521 P32 observed a subject at the intersection of Maple Street and Franklin Street who had an active warrant for their arrest. Upon officer making contact with the subject, the subject fled on foot. A warrant has been requested for James Nemo Croston for obstructing official business.

On 060521 at around 0220 HRS., P67 and S17 responded to 1314 Colonial Drive in reference to a disturbance. Upon investigation, it was determined that 2 roommates had become involved in a physical altercation over who the head of the household was. This case remains under investigation.

ON 06/05/21 P60 responded to Walmart reference a theft complaint. Upon arrival and after investigation, P60 learned that a woman had concealed property belonging to Walmart in her purse and passed the last point of sale without attempting to pay for the merchandise. A summons will be requested for theft.

At 12:10 PM ON 060521 MPD officers responded to 624 Allen Street in reference to a man who had made suicidal statements he was taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital for evaluation. He was released from the hospital and at 2:01 a.m. on 6/6/21 officers were dispatched to a report of the same man with a gun at 624 Allen Street. Tyler Patrick Austin was armed but surrendered and was arrested for handling firearms while intoxicated and 3 counts of endangering children.

On 06 06 21 S15 arrested Goround Sasay for an active warrant out of Summit County for assault and charged him with two counts of obstructing official business as Goround Sasay lied about his identity and charged him with two counts of obstructing official business as Goround Sasay lied about his identity and fled from officers. Goround was also charged with one account of resisting. He was apprehended and taken to the Washington County Jail pending his court appearance.

On June 6TH, 2021 AT 3:50PM, P63 AND P66 were dispatched to the 400 block of Front Street in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival and after investigation it was found that David Wayne Wriston was yelling at a female who had a protection order against him. As a result, David Wayne Wriston was arrested on a violation of a protection order and taken to the Washington County Jail.

ON 060721 P65 was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, the female was detained and identified. She will be summoned on a charge of theft.
