On June 8, 2021, P50 responded to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting complaint. A man failed to pay for several items while he was checking out at the self-checkout. He then bagged the items up and passed the last point of sale. He was then stopped by employees. A summons will be requested for theft.

James Berga
On 060821 AT 1630HRS, P64 was dispatched to 731 Glendale Road in reference to a domestic violence incident that had occurred two days prior. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim who advised of a domestic incident with her live-in boyfriend. Officers attempted to make contact with the suspect, James Berga but were unable to make contact. A warrant was requested for James Berga for domestic violence and domestic violence by threat. He was located and arrested 6/14/21.

On June 8, 2021 P50 responded to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting complaint. A man failed to pay for (19) items while going through the self-checkout. He then passed the last point of sale and was apprehended by an employee. A summons for theft will be requested.

Steven Ball
On 06/08/2021 P52 stopped a black Dodge Dakota in the 100 block of North 7th Street for a turn signal violation. During the stop, p52 advised Steven Ball that he was going to use his K9 to perform a vehicle sniff for narcotics. Ball handed p52 a marijuana bowl. During the search of the truck p52 located a methamphetamine pipe, Ball then admitted that he had suspected meth on his person. Ball was cited for the marijuana drug paraphernalia, the suspected meth will be sent to the lab testing.

David Wriston
On June 10, 2021 AT 1526HRS, P35 and P66 were dispatched to 111 Putnam Street Apartment 2 in reference to a protection order violation. Upon arrival and after investigation it was found that David Wayne Wriston had violated the protection order. As a result, David Wayne Wriston was arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail.

On 061121 P73 responded to a shoplifter complaint. A man pretended to self-scan $5o in energy drinks. P73 requested a summons be issued to for theft.

On 061121 P65 was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting complaint. After investigation, a male was identified and will be summonsed on a charge of theft.

On 061221 P57 was dispatched ot MMH in reference to a missing psych patient. It was learned that a psych patient had walked away approximately 47 mins prior to MMH calling the police. The area was searched but the female was not located. The female was entered as a missing person. On 061321 MPD received information that the psych patient had been located and taken back to the hospital. Case is closed.

On June 12, 2021 at approximately 0230 hours S18 observed a disturbance in the parking lot located at 220 Greene Street. While at that location, Tisha Bettinger was cited for DC intox and issued a citation. The victim also reported he was assaulted by a unknown man who had already fled the scene. An investigation into the assault in ongoing.

On 061221 AT 5:27 HRS, P57 was dispatched to MPD headquarters in reference to possible sexual assault. The case remains under investigation.

Levi Henderson
On 061221 AT 0852HRS, P25, P50, and P64 were dispatched to 209 Oakwood Avenue in reference to a domestic violence incident. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim and Levi Henderson. Through investigation, it was found that Henderson had slammed a door on the victim causing glass to break on her arm. Henderson was arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.

ON 061221 P73 began an investigation of a juvenile sex crime. This case is still under investigation.

On 06/12/2021 AT 23:46 P52 and P65 were dispatched to the 800 block of Second Street in reference to a male under the influence of a possible narcotic was refusing to get out of his grandmother's vehicle. During the investigation, it was learned that the male had threatened to harm himself. He was transported to MMH for an evaluation.

Baxter Grimes
On 061321 AT 1445HRS, P64 was dispatched to the area around 200 block of Ingleside Avenue. In reference to a suspicious male. Officer made contact with a man who gave a false name and ran from officers. P25 apprehended the male who was identified as Baxter Grimes. Grimes was arrested on a warrant and was charged with obstructing official business. And was transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 06/13/21, P65 was dispatched to Walmart, 804 Pike Street in reference to two shoplifters. It was learned that a female, identified as Mia Bryan, had concealed and attempted to steal merchandise. A male, identified as Wayne O Leib, also failed to scan items and attempted to exit the store. Lieb was found to have multiple active warrants and was taken into custody. Bryan was arrested for theft and criminal trespass. Both were transported to the Washington County Jail. Suspected methamphetamine was collected after release to jail and will be sent for testing.

On June 14TH, 2021 AT 1314HRS, P66 was dispatched to 819 Front Street lot 22 in reference to a theft / missing property. Upon arrival, p66 spoke with the caller who lost her Apple watch and was pinging at the neighbors house. P66 spoke with the neighbors who had their own Apple watch and the serial numbers did not match. This case remains under investigation.

Christian Desmarteau
On June 14TH, 2021 AT 1514HRS, P75 AND S15 were dispatched to 517 Marietta Lane in reference to a domestic violence in progress. Upon arrival, it was learned that a man went to his live-in girlfriend's grandmother's house where she had taken refuge after being assaulted the night before at a separate location. Christian Scott Desmarteau kicked in the door, and struck the girlfriend who was inside. Desmarteau was arrested for burglary, 2 counts of domestic violence, and criminal damaging. He was taken to the Washington County Jail where he will await his court date.

On 06/14/21 AT 2014 hours P69 was dispatched to 100 Lincoln Circle Apartment 3 in reference to a burglary that had taken place at that residence on 06/12/21. The investigation is ongoing.
