Prosecutors met with Hall's defense attorney Jack Blakeslee in Judge Mark Kerenyi's chambers. This was not a public hearing. However, Patch did get to catch up with Assistant Prosecutor David Silwani afterward.

Patch: What happened today?

Silwani: We made him an offer. We talked about the usual stuff, we went over the last day to try a case for speedy trial purposes, and the preliminary offer that was given.

Patch: Can you tell me what the offer was?

Silwani: No. I can't disclose that, unfortunately.

Patch: But you did offer him a plea bargain?

Silwani: Yes we did make him an offer. And Jack said he has to talk to his client obviously. He has to communicate with his client. That's all that really happened today.

Patch: So that's it then?

Silwani: Yep. Like I said they're not really entertaining. That's just status conferences in a nutshell. The final pretrial is where something really happens. And if any pretrial motions are filed you can look that up on the public docket. I know we talked about mental health. If they filed anything on the public docket that would show up there.

Patch: Today?

Silwani: No not today. It would be a separate hearing if he did file anything. So we'll find out what he does.

Hall's jury trial, should it get that far, is set for 8/10/21 at 9:00 a.m.
