Things Going On Around Marietta This Weekend

Here are a few things for you to keep in mind when planning your weekend.

MARIETTA, OH — Forecasters say that with the exception of some showers tomorrow afternoon, this is supposed to be a really beautiful weekend. So I've found a few things you might want to know about if you're planning on making the most of this wonderful weather.

The River City Farmer's Market: This farmer's market pops up between Second and Third Street every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. There'll be plenty of fresh and locally made products. They sell meats, cheeses, and baked goods among other things. They even have locally roasted coffee.

The Vendor and Craft Show: This show will be hosted at the Washington County Fairgrounds on Saturday between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. On Facebook they say they will be showcasing the youth of our county and the agriculture that makes us great. Parking is free and admission is $5 for those five-years-old and up.

Switchback R/C in the Village Open House: This is an event on Facebook that says they'll be featuring truck and tractor pulls by Stateline r/c Pullers. They list the start time as 10 a.m. This is a free event that will be held at 185 3rd st, Lowell, OH.

Marietta Brewing Company Challenge at Mountwood WVMBA XC #1: This is a race that folks have to pay between $20-$30 online to register for. It will be held at Mountwood Park and there are three different courses, expert is 22 miles, sport is 15 miles and beginner is 7.5 miles. Folks should bring their own food and water. Registration ends at 11:59 Friday night.
