Washington County COVID-19 Update
The Washington County Health Department, Memorial Health System, and the Marietta/Belpre Health Department issued a joint press release.

MARIETTA, OH — The Marietta/Belpre Health Department, Memorial Health System, and Washington County Health Department have released a joint press release concerning COVID-19 in the county. So far the county has seen 104 COVID-19 related deaths, 195 hospitalizations, and 4,869 cases total. The county remains at Alert Level 3, Red.

The Ohio Department of Health Vaccination Dashboard shows that nearly 23% of all Washington County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. And nearly 14% of Washington County residents have received all CDC recommended doses of the vaccine. The county's COVID-19 numbers are very closely aligned with statewide averages. Starting on March 29, the COVID-19 vaccine will be available to all Ohioans ages 16 and up. The Pfizer vaccine is the only one approved for those in the 16-17 age range, but the Moderna, Johnson and Johnson, and Pfizer vaccines are all approved for those 18 and up.
