Meetings, equestrian competitions highlight week ahead in the Mayfield-Hillcrest area
1. Highland Heights Council of the Whole Meeting, 8 p.m., Tuesday: Council will publicly hammer out more details of the before voting to put it on the ballot at the July 24 meeting.
2. Mayfield Village Council Meeting, 8 p.m., Today: There will also be a Finance meeting beginning at 7:30 p.m. shortly before the main meeting.
3. Chagrin Valley Hunter Jumper Classic, Monday to Saturday: The annual equestrian competition finishes its second week with many local participants in the field of this national event. For a complete schedule, click here.

4. Second Half of the Pool Pass Swimming Season Begins, Sunday to Sept. 3: Swimming passes must be presented each day at the Highland Heights Community Pool. For more information on rules, prices and times, click here.
5. North Chagrin Reservation trail hike, Friday, 9:30 a.m.: Take a hike on some of the trails in the North Chagrin Reservation. The trails on this hike are the Foster's Run, Buckeye and Sylvan Loop trails. The terrain is hilly and moderate, and the distance is 4.5 miles
