“Most patients will get symptoms like fever, runny nose, sore throat, cough,” said Dr. Elie Saade, UH director for infection control. “In a minority of patients, that will progress to cause severe pneumonia and that can lead to death.”
With increases seen in new coronavirus cases, Ohio health officials said Tuesday they expect a surge in patients with the disease that could lead to a shortage of medical equipment and delays in medical access for some.
