Seven inches of snow could fall by Wednesday night, with up to a foot of snow possible in some areas.

Up to 7 inches of snow could fall by Wednesday night in Cuyahoga County, the National Weather Service said. Some areas may receive more than a foot of snow. The agency has issued a winter weather advisory for the region.
"Lake effect bands will meander over the snowbelt counties producing periods of heavy snowfall with some areas receiving well over a foot of additional accumulation," the NWS said in its advisory.
In addition to the heavy snowfall, residents can also expect temperatures to fall below 0 degrees, with 11 mph wind chill. Tuesday night will have a high of 5 degrees. With wind chill, temperatures could fall below negative 10 degrees. The cold could case frost bite to exposed skin in less than 30 minutes, the NWS says.

While the snow showers should clear up by Wednesday night, the cold will remain. Wind chill will mean temperatures feel about negative 4 degrees.
In addition to posing a danger to exposed skin, the high winds will also mean reduced visibility for commuters. The NWS says drivers should "use caution" while on the roads.
