Giant Eagle Closing Willoughby Hills Store

WILLOUGHBY HILLS, OH — The Giant Eagle in Willoughby Hills will close on Feb. 2, the company announced.

“We thank our customers for their years of patronage at this location and invite them to visit us at our other area supermarkets in Willoughby, Willowick and Mayfield Heights,” Giant Eagle spokesperson Dan Donovan told News 5. “We also greatly appreciate the longstanding commitment of our Willoughby Hills Team Members and are offering all who are interested positions at other area locations.”

The Willoughby Hills Giant Eagle has been in operation since 1998. The decision to close the store came after "careful consideration," according to a press release.

Customers will be able to transfer the prescriptions from the Willoughby Hills location to any other Giant Eagle in the region.
