Groundbreaking Set for New Mayfield Library
Construction estimated to cost $11.7 million.

A groundbreaking ceremony will take place at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday for the new at 500 SOM Center Rd.

The 30,000-square-foot library will have a cafe with outdoor seating, an interactive play area for children, business copy center, afterschool homework center and technology learning center, according to Robert J. Rua, assistant marketing director for the Cuyahoga County Public Library system.
Panzica Construction Co. will manage the project. The eco-friendly design was done by URS Corporation.
