Huntington Bank Closing Some Northeast Ohio Branches
The bank will shut down 30 of its Ohio branches and 70 branches nationwide as it consolidates.

MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, OH — Huntington Bank is set to close 70 branches nationwide, including 30 in Ohio. Early reports indicate the bank is closing branches that have low customer traffic and are in close proximity to other Huntington locations.
While some of the branches targeted for closure have yet to be released, various outlets are reporting that Huntington banks in Mayfield Heights, Euclid, Elyria, North Olmsted and Cleveland could be shut down. Specific addresses for each targeted branch are at the bottom of this article.
In an interview with Crain's Cleveland, a Huntington spokesperson declined to say how many people may be laid off because of the branch consolidation. They did say that money saved by the closures would be reinvested in the company's mobile and digital offerings.
