Hydrant Flushing Starts This Week in Highland Heights

residents may need to adjust their laundry schedule – the fire department's annual hydrant flushing program started on Monday.

Weather permitting, the department will be flushing fire hydrants this week and will continue doing so through June. Signs will be posted on streets one day before work is to be done.

If possible, avoid doing laundry when hydrants are being flushed. If laundry is discolored due to rust, the fire department can provide materials to remove stains.

If tap water appears discolored, run the cold tap until the water clears.
