Kareem Hunt Seen Fighting With Woman In Cleveland Hotel Video

CLEVELAND — Kansas City Chiefs star running back Kareem Hunt is seen kicking and shoving a woman at a Cleveland hotel in footage shared by TMZ on Friday. Hunt was once a standout football player at Willoughby South High.

The footage is from an incident on Feb. 10, 2018. The woman in the video, a 19-year-old, told police that she suffered scrapes on her hands and knees because of the altercation. One of Hunt's female companions filed a separate report against the teenager, saying she initiated the fight.

News of the incident first became public in June, but video footage wasn't released until Friday. No arrests have been made in the matter.

Conflicting reports about what happened muddied the waters for investigators. The teenager told police she refused to get intimate with one of Hunt's friends causing the fight. Other witnesses said the 19-year-old snapped, used a racial slur, and then attacked one of Hunt's friends, before the brawl spilled into the hallway, TMZ reported.

Hunt said in August he had learned from the incident. Chiefs owner Clark Hunt said at the time that he did not expect Hunt to be suspended, ESPN noted.

Hunt was a standout back at Willoughby South before going to college at the University of Toledo. He was then drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2017 and has become one of the best running backs in the NFL.

The NFL has struggled with public perception after several high-profile domestic violence incidents, most notably the Ray Rice-elevator video. In that footage, also broken by TMZ, Rice can be seen knocking out his wife with a punch. More recently, the Washington Redskins added Reuben Foster to their team, despite the linebacker being charged with domestic violence on Saturday, Nov. 24.
