Lander Road Construction To Start June 30

The project was originally slated for mid-June.

MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, OH — The Lander Road construction project that was slated for mid-June has been pushed back to June 30, the city announced on Facebook.

The project will take place in two phases. Phase one will happen between Ridgebury Boulevard and Mayfield Road. Phase two will occur between Mayfield Road and the I-271 overpass.

Crews will be milling the existing asphalt to a depth of two to three inches, according to a post on the city's Facebook page. The concrete base of the street, and nearby curbs, will then be repaired. Utility casing will be adjusted and then crews will resurface Lander Road with new asphalt.

Traffic flow should be normal on Lander Road south of the I-271 overpass. Commuters should expect traffic to be limited to one-way flow in a northerly direction in the work zone.

The city said that there will be delays, as there are with any type of construction project. However, every effort will be made to minimize the disturbance to drivers.
