Mayfield-Hillcrest Communities Set Memorial Day Ceremonies

The following programs are scheduled to honor veterans for Memorial Day:

Mayfield Village

• The Memorial Day Ceremony will be a day before the holiday – at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 27 at . Jim Mason will be master of ceremonies and the Erie Heights Brass Ensemble will perform.

Speakers will be Mayfield Village Councilman Thomas Marrie, Commander Michael Zacher and John Kosek of Post 1959 and there will be a reading by the Young Marines.

Highland Heights

• Highland Heights will have a Veterans Peace Memorial Ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday, May 28 at the municipal complex, 5827 Highland Rd.

"A Day of Remembrance" will honor those who have died in service to our country. A reception will follow in the Community Center.

Mayfield Heights

• Memorial Day services will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, May 28 by the Roll of Honor Memorial in the east parking lot of City Hall. In case of rain, the event will be moved to the Fire Department bays.
