OSHP Trooper Promoted At Chardon Post

Trooper Michael F. Hounshell was promoted to the rank of sergeant today by Colonel Paul A. Pride.

From OH State Patrol: Trooper Michael F. Hounshell was promoted to the rank of sergeant today by Colonel Paul A. Pride, Patrol superintendent, during a ceremony at the Patrol’s Training Academy. Sergeant Hounshell will transfer from his current assignment at the Cleveland Post to serve as an assistant post commander at the Chardon Post.

Sergeant Hounshell began his Patrol career in September 2012 as a member of the 153rd Academy Class. He earned his commission in February of the following year and has been assigned to the Cleveland Post throughout his career. He earned the Criminal Patrol Award five times and earned the Ace Award for excellence in auto larceny enforcement four times.

Sergeant Hounshell earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Lake Erie College in 2012.
