Police Blotter: Animal Control Corals Chicken That Took Up Roost at Residence

A Miner Road man called police at 4:13 p.m. Nov. 9 and said a brown chicken was in his yard for a week. He wanted it taken away so his dogs didn't chase it into the street. Animal control was contacted and took the chicken.

A car hit a deer at 7:14 p.m. Nov. 9 on Interstate 271 northbound, a caller reporter. The incident occurred in Mayfield Village.

A construction trailer was parked in the roadway on Maypine Farm Boulevard for three days and a caller at 3:18 p.m. Nov. 9 thought someone might hit it. Police talked to a man who said he would have the trailer moved.

An employee reported at burning smell at 5:20 p.m. Nov. 9 at an Alpha Drive business. It smelled like an electrical/rubber fire. Police said a light ballast was the cause of the smoke and odor.
