Police Blotter: Deer Running Around Town With Swing in Antlers

An East Edinburgh resident called police at 7:08 a.m. Feb. 20 after seeing a deer in her backyard with an unknown object wrapped around its neck. She didn't think the deer was able to move. The animal took off when an officer arrived. Police said the deer had a child's swing caught in its antlers.

A suspicious car was parked crooked and took up two spaces at 7:36 p.m. Feb. 19 in the city park.

Debris was reported in the roadway of the Wilson Mills Road exit ramp off Interstate 271 at 2:56 p.m. Feb. 19. Police moved a couch cushion.

A caller at 3:04 p.m. Feb. 18 said a West Glengary resident made false accusations of theft against him. He also said the woman had a history of mental problems. Police told the man that if he filed a burglary or theft report that it would be investigated.

A 911 caller at 7:58 a.m. Feb. 17 said there was a road rage incident on Interstate 271 southbound involving a black Kia and a Town and Country minivan and both exited at Wilson Mills Road. Police said the complaint was resolved and both parties went on their way.
