Police Blotter: Driver Cited for Sitting at Light

A driver was sitting at a green light for more than two minutes at 2:49 p.m. Feb. 5 on Wilson Mills Road. She was issued a warning about giving full time and attention when behind the wheel.
Sparks were shooting from a pole at 10:28 p.m. Feb. 1 at SOM Center and White roads. The pole was cooled down with water and power company officials said the entire box was going to be replaced.
A man pulled over for a traffic offense at 12:23 a.m. Feb. 5 on Ridgebury Boulevard was also cited for having fictitious license plates. His registration had expired.
A woman told police at 6:26 p.m. Feb. 6 that she was cleaning her car on the top deck at Tudor Court when she saw two suspicious men walking between cars. The men told police they were attending a Super Bowl party and cut through the lot to go to a convenience store.
