Police Blotter: Driver Told Jogger Had the Right of Way

A woman called at 6:11 a.m. Feb. 1 and said she was driving on Gates Mills Boulevard and a jogger was in the middle of the street and refused to move over. She blew her horn and he punched her car, she said. Police told her joggers have the right of way because there are no sidewalks.
A Summit Drive woman called police at 1:18 a.m. Feb. 2 because her 17-year-old son left home at 11:30 p.m. and said he was staying out all night. She called back at 2:31 a.m. and said she found her son in South Euclid and brought him home.
A Woodhurst Avenue woman called police at 1:25 p.m. Feb. 1 after receiving suspicious communication on the Internet. An unknown person on Facebook asked her to send a photo to a website. Police told her not to send the photo and to avoid the website.
A disturbance was reported at 6:27 p.m. Jan. 31 at Walmart on Mayfield Road. A man and woman were fighting and the man punched the woman in the face, a caller said. The couple was gone when police arrived.
A woman said her two sons were home at 5 p.m. Jan. 31 on Jackie Lane and two men were knocking on the door. The boys were afraid to answer. Police said the men were solicitors and were told to get a permit.
