Police Blotter: Dumpster Diver, Wedged Tire and Videotaping Neighbor

A Marsol Road man called at 11:21 a.m. May 27 to complain that a male in a broke pickup was "Dumpster diving" and in the process was throwing things on the ground, breaking glass and not cleaning up the mess. A South Euclid man told police he had permission from building management to go through the trash bins. Police talked to him about the complaint and told he to replace all trash in the bins.

A man called police after he stopped on Marsol Road at 2:52 a.m. May 29 to help the driver of another car that hit a deer. An officer put the animal down.

An Orchard Heights resident told police at 3:13 p.m. May 28 that someone broke into his house previously and took his disc drives on got into his computer. He never called police because he didn't have proof of the break-in. He called this time because the password on his computer had been changed.

The driver of a Chevy Silverado pulling a 27-foot camper called police at 10:45 a.m. May 28 after a car lost a tire, which hit the truck and was stuck underneath. A tow truck was called for the car and the tow driver was able to getting the tire out from the truck.

Two women were fighting at 6:30 p.m. May 27 at the Marsol Towers Apartments. Police said the incident involved a 12-year-old boy who was misbehaving at the pool and the people involved were told to contact management about the problem. One person was injured, but did not want to file a report.

An Eastwood Avenue man reported neighbor trouble at 12:48 a.m. May 27. He said a resident down the street was in his neighbor's yard and was videotaping him. He said the woman was intoxicated. Police talked to her and said that if she wanted to catch the caller doing something illegal she would have to do it from her own yard.

A caller said an old ice cream truck was driving down Iroquois Avenue and Ridgebury Boulevard at 8:58 p.m. May 26 and was stopping near children. However, it did not appear to be an actual ice cream truck. Police checked and were unable to find the truck.

Someone tagged several signs with graffitti on Longwood Drive, a caller reported at 2:17 p.m. May 26. A mailbox also was vandalized.

An employee at called at 7:32 p.m. May 25 and said four females were inside the store shoplifting. The suspects then ran out of the store and into a silver Chevy Malibu. Police stopped the car on Mayfield Road and four women were arrested and charged with theft.
