Police Blotter: Easter Egg Hunt Turns Up a Wallet

A guest at the Easter egg hunt found a wallet at 3 p.m. March 31 at SOM Center and Wilson Mills roads. The wallet had ID, credit cards and $107 cash. A woman called a few minutes later to report losing her wallet and picked up at the police station. She said everything was still in it.
The CodeRed emergency system was initiated at 1:20 p.m. March 30 to let Community Emergency Response Team members know to assist victims of the Lyndhurst fire. They were told to bring a badge, vest, ID, gloves, boots and a helmet and they would be helping residents go into the building and gather property.
Police were out at 7:50 p.m. March 29 with people in the construction area behind . The area was cleared, as people are not supposed to be in the construction area past the gates. However, some schools have permission to use the track and police said a memo was being sent about the situation.
An employee at a Beta Drive hotel called at 2:38 p.m. March 29 and said a man comes in off and on and taking things. He was there the previous evening with two girls and took a bunch of cookies before leaving.
An exterminator was called at 10:12 a.m. March 27 because there were ants all over the police station.
