Police Blotter: Fallen Tree Traps Motorist on Chagrin River Road
Information supplied by the Gates Mills Police Department.

A tree fell down at 5:29 p.m. Dec. 5 on Chagrin River Road. It pulled down electrical wires and trapped a man in his car. Police, fire and an Illuminating Company crew were sent to the scene and the man was freed from his car at 7:25 p.m. He was not injured.
A Hickory Lane woman called police at 10:05 a.m. Dec. 8 about suspicious people at her house. Police said the men were water department workers who were replacing an old meter.
A 911 caller at 10:42 p.m. Dec. 8 said a car was going eastbound in the westbound lanes on Mayfield Road. Police were unable to find the car.

A Berkshire Road resident called police at 9:23 a.m. Dec. 10 to report suspicious circumstances – there was a loud beeping noise outside of her house. Police discovered a septic tank alarm on a neighbor's property and let the neighbor know about the problem.
